Salon guests were invited to visit LHT’s new location at the corner of Cooper and Harvey and get their hair cut by the team of LHT Philanthropists.  For a minimum donation of $30 we encouraged people to not only own their style but also help their community and bring awareness to the amazing initiatives that The Kelowna Women’s Shelter and Canadian Women’s Foundation create.

The team completely worked for free, our media sponsor Q103, local radio personality Troy Scott and amazing L’Oréal Professionnel Business Consultant Lana Neval all welcomed the tremendous support of our community.

In total we raised $1000 which was donated to Q103′s Shelter from the Storm which was held on Friday May 11, 2012.  Collectively the radio-thon raised a total of $47,000 with funds staying in Kelowna and some benefiting national women and children’s iniatives.

Thank you everyone who enabled us to help you own your style, while benefiting our community.

I’ve learned a few things over the years: always make sure the lid is on the blender correctly, remember to turn the oven off after you’re done with it, and dogs are almost the same as brooms.
